trying to build wealth? It is very trendy lately and this study will give
you insights.
According to the
authors, there is a relationship between genes and wealth. The analysis was
based on the more than 4 000 US Americans. It took into consideration
education, parent inheritance and socio-economic background.
In fact, the authors
use a "polygenic score" - an index of 74 genetic markers— that
robustly predicts education attainement. (Papageorge and Thom, 2016).
The higher is the
score, the wealthier the individual can be.
I must write that I
did not read a lot of scientific article about this topic but I am a bit
worried on the implication about such finding.
Nowadays it becomes
easier and easier to have our whole genome sequenced by new next-generation
sequencing systems.
